The re:master project

Re:Master is a creative platform to speak about modern day society and global issues. By reinterpreting meaningful works of art and injecting my own concepts, the goal is to use the familiar to convey a new idea, a double-take for the viewer. Creating anew while, hopefully, preserving the essence of the original works of Art is a challenging balancing-act of reinvention and conservation.

Months of work go into each reinterpretation. There are a lot of pieces to string together: Art direction, pre production, set and prop design, wardrobe, casting, special FX etc. Tackling these creative facets involved in a big production enable me to grow. Most elements are captured in camera while others require compositing. Nonetheless post-production plays a big part, from the first draft to the final print.

The frame might be the same but the issue is from a different era: are tactile phones creating dnumb brains? Is Liberté worth killing for? Do we need to "Save The Planet" or are we, humans, the ones in need of salvation?
